We provide a full range of design services throughout the development process. Our experience ranges from one-off exhibit developments to large-scale, multi-million-pound master planning processes. We work across all the RIBA work stages and support our clients throughout the concept design and planning process, in addition to the tendering and construction stages of the project.

Our design packages can be tailored to suit your project needs and budgets. We work collaboratively with in-house zoo specialists/teams and external consultants as part of larger commissions, providing consultancy.

SITE APPRAISAL

We can help you by undertaking a detailed site appraisal, and identifying current site issues and opportunities. By undertaking this exercise, we can establish some ‘Quick Wins’ and produce a prioritised list of improvements to tackle. This can be done as a stand-alone work package or to inform a later Masterplan stage

FEASIBILITY STUDIES

As part of the early stages of project, you may wish to undertake a preliminary feasibility study. These tend to be carried out to test the proposed developments’ viability, as an ‘optioneering’ exercise or to support business cases. These can be done as a standalone exercise for one-off exhibits or as part of the Masterplan process.

CONCEPT DESIGN

We can offer advice and support to realise your ambitions by creating illustrative and innovative design solutions that capture and evolve your initial ideas into a comprehensive and stunning package - this may be for a one-off habitat design or part of a wider masterplanning strategy.

SITE SUPERVISION

Our involvement at this stage would include review of the project site works through to practical completion of the scheme. We are very hands on and can help support our clients by undertaking regular site visits to assess the quality of works ensuring the vision and implementation are aligned.

MASTERPLANNING

Working with you, we can create a 10-20 year illustrative Masterplan design, that will help guide your parks development. Capturing and exploring your initial ideas and vision. This stage of work will produce a comprehensive and stunning design package to support your funding bids, as part of public consultations, or planning applications.

DETAILED DESIGN

We can provide technical and detailed design support for your project during this stage of work. Throughout this stage we will work closely with the project design team and with various detail specialists to provide a robust package of information. Our deliverables can be tailored and aligned with your project’s chosen procurement method.
